A Step-by-Step Guide

Initial Consultation We begin with a private discussion to understand your needs. We’ll talk about the type and timing of your surgery, discuss any skin sensitivities or other concerns, and clarify your expectations for the fitting.

Product Presentation Based on our initial conversation, we will show you a curated selection of products that are most appropriate for your body and lifestyle.

Measurements and Assessment We will take careful measurements and assess your chest wall to ensure the most accurate and comfortable fit.

Fitting Trials You will have the opportunity to try on several different products. Every client is different—some find their perfect match on the first try, while others may need to try a few options. We take the time to get it right.

Ordering and Follow-Up If your ideal size or style is not in stock, we will place an order for you. We then schedule a follow-up visit in 7 to 10 days to ensure the product fits perfectly and make any necessary adjustments.

Post-Fit Education and Support Once you have your new product, we will teach you how to care for and maintain it. We are here to answer any questions you may have.

Payment and Administration After the fitting, we will issue an invoice for your payment. We can also provide guidance on navigating insurance claims and reimbursements. For clients covered by Pharmacare, we handle the billing directly.

Privacy and Confidentiality: All fittings are conducted in a private, one-on-one setting. Your information and our conversations are always kept strictly confidential.

Hygiene and Cleanliness: We practice thorough hand hygiene before and after every appointment. All sample products that are available to be tried on are cleaned between each client visit.

Product Trials: We have fit samples for many of our styles and sizes. Please note that for hygiene reasons, no item is ever reused for resale unless it is in perfect, unused condition. Swim prostheses are not available for trial fittings.

Professional Certification: While there is no government certification for mastectomy fitters, I am fully certified by two of the industry's leading companies, Amoena and Trulife (2023).
